IFF referee and observer nomination procedure for 2013-2014 has started — 08.06.2012

The IFF Referee Committee has sent the information and guidelines for the referee and observer nominations for 2013-2014. The IFF member association shall send their proposals to the IFF office latest by the 31st of August 2012.

The IFF member associations will make their proposals and send the proposals to the IFF and the IFF RC will then handle the proposals and make the actual nominations in the next RC meeting in September. The IFF Central Board will then officially approve the nominations.

There are three different categories for referees. Referees for the men´s matches, referees for the women´s matches and then the category all, which means that the referees nominated to that group can referee both men´s and women´s matches.

For the previous nomination period there was the possibility to propose referees to the IFF referee development group and that possibility still exists and the group continues to operate. Six referees from the development group have been promoted to the ordinary IFF referee group during this nomination period.

For the new nomination period there is also for the first time special categories for refree observers as well. The IFF member associations can now also propose observers to the men´s matches or to the women´s matches. Most of the IFF observers will still continue to observer both men´s and women´s matches.
