Garčar to Helsingborg, Kapanen to Malans and Stadelmann to Chur — 26.06.2012
The Czech national team pleayer, Milan Garčar, signed for FC Helsingborg yesterday and will be playing for the Swedish club the upcoming season. With the signing of Garčar the squad is complete and ready to take on the new season.
- This is a fantastic last addition to the squad. Milan is used to play big games and with his approach to the sport he will be an excellent role model for all our young players. He is just the type of defender we have been looking for, calm and safe with the ball and not afraid to take part in the offense. In the czech league he has produced an average of almost one point per game, which is a good record for a defenceman, says Head of Sports Glenn Stjernkvist.
Milan Garčar will not only contribute with good floorball skills, he will also bring a lot of winning experience into the team. Since he came to Tatran Stresovice the team has won the Czech League five teams out of six possible and the Czech Cup five times as well.
- I have won everything you can win in Czech floorball and to keep me motivated as a player I need a new challange. Helsingborg contacted me just in the right time and I didn’t have to think twice before signing the contract, says Milan himself.
This will be Milans second adventure in the Swedish Superleague. He played for Falun in 09/10 season and produced 13 points in 31 games.
