Klintsten and Calebsson back in the Swedish men´s national team — 12.07.2012

Now all the players that will participate on the Swedish national team camp August 8th-12th have been selected by head coach Jan-Erik Vaara.

The Swedish goalie Viktor Klintsten makes a comeback to the Men´s national team. In the WFC Final 2010 Klintsen was on the substitution bench, but since February 2011 Storvreta´s gold goalie has not been seen in the national team. Up to now.

Viktor Klintsten has played in the goal during all three years that Storvreta has taken the national championship trophy and now Vaara has chosen him to the national team camp in Karlstad.

 - Actually I have not thought about the national team and was a little shocked about the selection. I mean, I was not selected in over a year. But I´m enthusiastic and going to Karlstad, it feels really great, Klintsten says to innebandy.se.

Viktor Klintsten didn´t want to participate in the national team events during spring 2011 because he was not allowed to play with his own goalie pants of another brand than the national team brand. Since then he has not been selected.

- I have always been keen to play in the national team and I have to accept that the rules are what they are. It´s the World Championship year and I want to play in the WFC.

Pixbo Wallenstam´s Daniel Calebsson has also recovered from his knee injury and makes his national team comeback. Calebsson has played 84 internationals and collected 110 points (42+68), but he hasn´t played in the national team since World Challenge in April 2011.

- It is really fun of course. It is always my goal, my dream and hope to be in the national team. I hope to perform on a high level and want to help the team to take a step in the hunt for the WFC gold. It would be really nice to play in the WFC and that is what I aim for, Calebsson comments on innebandy.se.
