2012 Prague Wheel Open is on this week — 06.08.2012
In the 2011 inaugural tournament, 8 teams participated, but this year the numbers have jumped to 14, with teams from Czech Republic, Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland competing. The reigning champion is FBC ABAK Remedicum Ostrava from Czech Republic, and they will be back again to defend their title. Tournament Director, Dominik Drahonínský, says that Wheelchair Floorball is in the beginning, but they have already had positive feedback from some of the smaller floorball countries such as Netherlands and Poland. - In these countries, wheelchair floorball is understood as a very dynamic and attractive sport, says Drahonínský.
Manual Wheelchair Floorball Manual wheelchair Floorball is played almost with the same rules as Floorball. The playing time in the Prague Wheel Open is 2x15, but the quarterfinals, semi-finals and finals will be played with a playing time of 3x15 minutes.
