2012 Prague Wheel Open is on this week — 06.08.2012

The 2012 Prague Wheel Open will be held this week, 9th - 11th August in the capital of Czech Republic. This is the second time this tournament has been held and it is growing rapidly in popularity.

In the 2011 inaugural tournament, 8 teams participated, but this year the numbers have jumped to 14, with teams from Czech Republic, Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland competing.

The reigning champion is FBC ABAK Remedicum Ostrava from Czech Republic, and they will be back again to defend their title.

Tournament Director, Dominik Drahonínský, says that Wheelchair Floorball is in the beginning, but they have already had positive feedback from some of the smaller floorball countries such as Netherlands and Poland.  - In these countries, wheelchair floorball is understood as a very dynamic and attractive sport, says Drahonínský.
